Winter has a way of sharpening things up here. The air gets clearer, the nights seem darker, and Saratoga Springs settles into that quiet hum between snowstorms and celebrations. Just beyond the city glow, the High Peaks and the wider Adirondacks stand cold and steady—icy trails, frozen lakes, woodsmoke in the air. This winter zine is our love letter to this winter season: the hush, the cold, the rituals that keep us warm, and the cannabis that makes it all a little more magical.
Inside this issue, we’re leaning fully into comfort and connection. We’re stirring up an infused chowder in honor of Saratoga’s legendary Chowderfest—rich, warming, and best enjoyed après-snowstorm. With Valentine’s Day on the horizon, we’re also spotlighting some sweet (and spicy) seasonal deals, including a feature on Wildcat infused lubricant and the ways cannabis can support intimacy, relaxation, and pleasure during the long winter nights.
We’ve also put together a winter pairing guide for whatever cold-weather adventure calls your name: sauna sessions and snowbanks, ice fishing shacks and thermoses, game nights that run late, or carving lines through the parks. And, as always, this zine is grounded in community—with creative pieces from local voices who know this place, this season, and this culture by heart. Bundle up, spark up, and welcome to winter in Saratoga and the Adirondacks.
